The Slovak Mission in Chicago cordially invites you to a special evening of tradition and celebration at the Slovenská Štedrá Večera – Slovak Christmas Eve Dinner on December 16, 2023 at Slovenian Catholic Cultural Center, 14252 Main Street, Lemont, IL, 60439
Join us and the children from Veselička for a festive evening filled with cultural richness, delightful cuisine, and the warmth of the holiday season. Veselička will perform its Christmas program with traditional Slovak Christmas carols, songs, dances and music. The schedule for the evening is as follows:
Program:
- 3:00 PM- Svätá omša (Holy Mass)
- 4:00 PM – Otvorenie dverí (Door Open)
- 4:30 PM Performance by Children’s Slovak Folklore Dance Ensemble Veselička
- Followed by traditional štedrá večera dinner
Dinner Menu:
- Oblátky s medom (Honey Wafers)
- Domáca kapustnica (Homemade Sauerkraut Soup)
- Zemiakový šalát (Potato Salad)
- Vyprážaná ryba (Fried Fish)
- Opekance s makom (Sweet Poppy Seed Dumplings)
- Domáce záviny (Homemade Strudels)
- Zákusky a ovocie (Desserts and Fruits)
- Káva (Coffee)
- Fľaša bieleho vína (Bottle of White Wine)

Ticket Prices:
- Adults: $60
- Seniors (65 and older): $50
- Children (3 to 13 years): $20
- Children (under 2 years): Free
